Tengo mucha suerte!
Oh, the joys of dial up, only taken me 5 hours to upload this photo this morning! I think the initial excitement of 'blogging' could wear off quite quickly.. this is a beautiful card Rebecca gave me of Kokopelli, the lucky figure from Native American cultures. I also picked up a photo of Amy Johnson to inspire me on my travels- the first woman to fly solo from Britain to Australia in 1930. Liking the goggles!

I like this picture. Worth the 5 hours. We were driving through the outer reaches of North London a few days ago, towards Hendon, and went past a very unprepossesing Tudor-fied mansion block by the polluted main road, and there was a blue plaque saying Amy Johnson lived here. Which was very exciting...and pleasing proof that even legends have banal background details.
hey han macd- she really was an amazing woman. Can you imagine flying to Australia in De Havilland Gipsy Moth!? Apparently she was born in Hull and the daughter of a fish merchant.
