La Plaza de Acho
Lima has a bull-ring, la Plaza de Acho. The bullfighting season is late Octubre to late Noviembre, 3pm on Sundays. (There is also a short season in March). Most of the matadors are spanish but the most famoso peruano matador is Rafael Castañeta and in 1993, the spanish matador Cristina Sanchez was the first woman to fight in Lima. The bullfights are advertised in all el periodicos with fotos of the matadors.
