September 2006- TAFOS fotitos de la Expo de la PUCP, Lima. The touring exhibition will be running in Cusco whilst I am there and I hope to meet some of the photographers. The Social Photography Workshops (Talleres de Fotografia Social or TAFOS) was a ground-breaking organisation, founded in 1985. The TAFOS project organised a network of grassroots photographers in Peru: farmers, miners and members of ethnic communities- all making a diverse group whose view of the world is rarely recorded by photographs. By the late 1990's an extraordinary collection of powerful images (150,000 negatives) were archived at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú's Science and Art of Communication Program.
