Happier times for Club José Gálvez when they won the copa peru last year but this week they lost to the comeback kings (los reyes) Cienciano as both Hernández & Chará scored in the second half to win 2-1 at the stadia Miguel Gómez Arellano (15,000 capacity). With Alianza Lima only holding out for a draw, el papas stay top!Fondly known as 'la Franja', the JG's are in Chimbote, the largest fishing port in peru, 422km north of Lima (and also the birthplace of ex-presidente Alejandro Toledo). I should be writing a match report for the mighty Hackney but we were stuffed 5-0 in the league cup and I only have expletives for the referee.
