Continuing my obsession with la cocina de peruana, I have found on Calle Berlin in Miraflores a fantastic little restaurant called ´El Fogon´! At lunch, they have the ´menu ejecutivo´ which for 8 soles you can choose both an entrada and a segundo dish with a big glass of chichlon morada (purple corn)! This is incredible value for very tasty food. On one of the main streets, Ave Jose de Larco you can pay 16 soles for a club sandwich (6 soles= 1 pound). It was a bit nerve racking at first as the restaurant is all peruvian but I pretend I understand all that they´re saying to me!
