Expo: la civilizacion de Caral-Supe
This morning I went to an exhibition at the Palacio Municipal, plaza repocijo, and it was muy interesante- la ciudad sagrada de Caral.The sacred city was built between the cities of Barranca and Huacho, north of Lima, 26km from the coast, 4500 years before the Incas!
The main buildings such as the piramides mayor y central, y the residencial mayor complex were based on astronomy and in relation to the different groups of stars.
The Caral were self-sufficient agriculturalists and fishing and traded various goods between regions. They lived in related- family groups called Ayullu and belonged to settlements called Pachacas of about 100 people.
