Valle de Sagrado- Pisac y Taray

The small town of Pisac is just under an hours bus ride, north of Cusco. Our school house is in the small village of Taray, a half hour walk from Pisac across the rio Urubamba. I stayed here for a week and returned to Cusco by a very crowded bus first thing this morning!

Pisac has a very popular market and the ruinas de Incas- a citadel located 600m above looking over the city. Pisac is considered the gateway of the sacred valley, a very fertile valley that eventually leads to Machu Picchu and the amazonas.
