Botero expo y San Isidro

An expo of the Colombian artist Botero is being held at the Galeria Centro Cultural (PUCP- la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) in San Isidro: Anna is one of the founder´s of the environmental development agency Grupo GEA and has lived in Peru for over 15 years.

Fernando Botero (born 1932) is a neo-figurative Colombian artist, self-titled "the most Colombian of Colombian artists." His paintings and sculptures are noted for their exaggerated proportions of the people. The "fat people" are often thought by critics to satirize the subjects and situations that Botero chooses to paint. His works are informed by a Colombian upbringing and social commentary is woven all throughout his work.

After the expo we went to a new restaurant in San Isidro called ´Tabla´, near the Maranga Adobe Pyramid, ´Huacha Huallamarca´. Followed by a Pisco Sour by the sea in Barranco!

Anna and her partner Jorge, and her friends Solange and her partner Magay, who runs the Teatro at the Centro Cultural.
