Hi Lou
You are opening my eyes. Are women very suppressed in Peru, or are they just part of the down trodden masses. What i mean is, the general quality of life is not what it is in say sunny Wales, but do the women suffer significantly more that the men?
It is amazing that given their problems, they look far happier in the pics than the so called liberated people of this country, who are hooked on the goal of wealth instead of happiness!
Sorry, bit too heavy. Too many glasses of wine! You take care and keep up the good work.
Luv the Welshies! Well Dan is.

Hola Uncle Ray,
Yes I think the women do suffer more, they shoulder the domestic burdens and their working conditions are harsher because of it. Whenever there are severe social problems violence against women increases and the opportunities and choices for women are much less. When the women attend the classes there is a creche in the room next door to look after their children. All the women are different but they welcomed me with warmth and humour and I felt a very strong spirit amongst them. They were very assertive and were adament I couldn´t use my flash!
besos xx
ps. looks like you´ve been drinking peruvian wine..!?!
