Bodegas Vista Alegre, Ica
Ica is an hour´s bus ride south of Pisco and the capital of the desert region. Because of the 40 rivers that run from the Andes the coastal regions are very fertile. Ica is famous for its making of Pisco for the national drink Pisco Sours! Ica is also surrounded by vineyards and will be harvesting at the end of Febrero. I visited one of the older vineyards and perhaps not one of the best wines in the region, so I didn´t buy a case...
